“Moving forward, Anton will no longer be a part of Over October,” the band said in a statement posted on Facebook.
“Sadly, our paths are no longer aligned. We wish him all the best as he focuses on other priorities,” it said.
The band said it would continue as a trio comprising vocalist Josh Buizon, lead guitarist Joshua Lua and bassist Joric Canlas, with drummer Janessa Geronimo also set to leave at the end of the month.
Janessa’s departure was announced months earlier, with the band’s major concert at the New Frontier Theater earlier this month serving as a farewell show to the drummer.
The act acknowledged that the month “has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for us, and we are sure for you as well.”
“We are grateful for the music and memories we’ve shared, and we appreciate your understanding and support as we enter this new chapter,” it said.
Formed in 2014, Over October is known for songs such as “Ikot,” “Dahan” and “Bitin.”
