Kris Aquino shares prayer for sons Josh, Bimby
MANILA — Actress Kris Aquino shared her prayer for her eldest son Joshua “Josh” Aquino and youngest child, James Carlos “Bimby” Aquino.
In Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Aquino shared that her prayer is for Josh to always feel that he is loved and that her youngest son will take the responsibility of taking good care of his brother.
“Everything Bimb said about that responsibility na kailangan nandiyan para sa kuya niya, ‘wag sana mawala ‘yon. Sana talaga ang kuya naman niya forever niyang maramdaman ‘yung pagmamahal nila sa isa’t isa. Si Kuya sana mag-thank you nang mag-thank you because Bimb will have to work doubly hard because he will be supporting two families. What I can be proud of, magkaiba sila ng tatay, pero they’ve always been, ‘yung hindi mo makikita sa kanila. Talagang nagmamahalan sila, nagkakatampuhan din. Nakakabiyahe sila na silang dalawa lang. So I’m so proud that Bimb is that responsible already and I’m very, very blessed na the two boys are happy where we are,” Kris said.
YouTube/GMA NetworkKris then shared that because of early intervention, Joshua knows how to read and write even with his disability.
“Kapag mayroon kang disability kadalasan daw maiksi ang buhay kasi mayroong mga hindi mo nasasabi na ito ‘yung nararamdaman mo, o ito ‘yung nagiging problema. I really hope na si kuya Josh, who is 31 years old na, sana ‘yung buhay niya is showered with so much love. And may that love continue to grow. And, I hope na we will be more aware na kuya Josh can read, he can write, ‘yung compreshension niya… it’s because we had early intervention,” she said.
Kris then shared her prayer that there will be schools that will teach livelihood skills for people with disabilities.
“Sana Boy, ang pagdasaral ko na hopefully in his name mayroon din tayong mga smaller schools sana, sana may pondo para mayroon din naman silang matutunan na livelihood skills because not everyone is as fortunate as kuya. So I hope for that and maybe that’s also something that we can push for,” she said.
For his part, Bimby said that his prayer for his older brother is “for him to be just be happy and stay genuinely good.”
“Sometimes he’s naughty but he’s genuinely a good person. And for my mom naman, mommy, ever since I turned 18 you’ve always reminded me that we’re all living on borrowed time. Sana it’s no longer borrowed time. That’s my prayer, that I get to spend many more years with the love of my universe,” Bimby said.
For Bimby, he said that his mom ingrained him that when she’s gone he will be the one to take care of Josh.
“I will be the one to take care off my brother and everyone told me na when your mom is gone, you really have to step up and make sure that he is okay.
“If my wife doesn’t accept my brother, eh no na. I really can’t handle that. I can’t live without him. Sometimes he can live without me but I can’t live without him. When it’s me, him and my mother in the bed because we still sleep together … it’s when I’m most happiest, especially if he’s not kulit at night,” Bimby said.
Josh is Kris’s son with actor Philip Salvador, while Bimby is her son with basketball star James Yap.
