Marcos Jr visits tomb of father ahead of All Saints’ Day celebration

TAGUIG — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the tomb of his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., at the Libingan ng mga Bayani ahead of the observance of All Saints’ Day. 

The Marcos family visited the tomb on October 30, Friday.

The President was accompanied by his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, his sister Irene Marcos-Araneta, and close family and friends. 

The family offered prayers and paid their respects during the private visit.

Meanwhile, some supporters also visited Marcos Sr’s tomb on November 1.

The former President’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in 2016 caused uproar and indignation at that time.

Other former Presidents such as former President Fidel Ramos and Diosdado Macapagal are also buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
