One more day left to apply for free college tuition bursary [updated]

Want to get a Canadian post-secondary educational credential but worried about tuition fees? Check out the program offerings from Ashton College at its Vancouver or online campus. From human resources to immigration consultancy and more, if you’re a newcomer who is interested in studies at Ashton College, you also have a chance at getting free tuition.

If you are a new immigrant who arrived in Canada for the first time in the last five years, you may be eligible for one of their Ashton College Bursaries for New Immigrants. But there is only one week left to apply; deadline is July 31, 2018. You can easily apply online here.

Since 2005, Canadian Immigrant has co-sponsored the bursaries (formerly known as Lilian To Bursaries for Immigrants), to help newcomers add a Canadian educational credential to their resumé.

The bursaries cover full-time tuition (valued up to $8,000) for a range of Ashton College programs. Ashton College’s programs are all accredited by, or offered in partnership with, professional associations and national licensing bodies.

“We’ve been offering these newcomer bursaries for so many years because we understand that getting Canadian credentials can be an important stepping stone in re-establishing your career and getting licensed, too,” says Colin Fortes, president of Ashton College.

In fact, immigrants looking to gain Canadian credentials make up a big portion of the student population at the college, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

See here for more information about the bursaries’ submission requirements and how to apply.
