6 minors busted with P2-M worth of ‘shabu’ in Ozamiz City

OZAMIZ CITY – Police arrested six minors, allegedly caught with P2-million worth of suspected shabu, following a buy-bust operation on Friday evening in Ozamiz City.

Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, Ozamiz police chief, said they recovered one sachet of illegal drugs from a minor in Malaubang village, prompting them to conduct the follow-up buy bust where the whole gang, composed of minors, were arrested.

Police said the arrested minors were “noted” robbers in the areas of Malaubang, Tinago, Annex, Villa Consuelo and Bañadero, allegedly targeting houses with laptops and other valuables. The suspects reportedly operated at night to victimize families.

Espenido also said a bigger group outside Ozamiz City was behind the operations of these minors.

He estimated the street value of the seized illegal drugs at P2 million. /jpv
