MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte ordered a police officer to file a complaint against Iloilo Rep. Oscar “Richard” Garin Jr. and his father, Guimbal Mayor Oscar Garin, for allegedly beating, slapping and pointing a gun at him.

Police said father and son allegedly summoned PO3 Federico Macaya of the Guimbal Municipal Police Station to the Guimbal Public Plaza in Iloilo.

The Garins allegedly disarmed the police officer, conducted a body search on him, handcuffed him, seized his belongings, and while being held at gunpoint, hit him.
