MANILA, Philippines – A Chinese man was arrested for allegedly molesting three women inside an amusement park in Pasay City.

In a police report released Tuesday, the Pasay Police identified the suspect as Zang Yang, 19, who was arrested last Thursday, Feb. 7.

The mother of one of the victims said the three women were with five other friends inside a horror house of Star City last Thursday when Zang allegedly touched their private parts.

The victims immediately reported the incident to the security guard of the park, which immediately acted to apprehend Zang.

The mother said the families of the victims filed a complaint for acts of lasciviousness against Zang last Friday even though he offered to settle.

“I think kailangan talaga siyang maparusahan kasi parang wala lang. Tapos nandito siya tapos wala siyang pakialam eh hindi siya gumagalang sa kahit na sino,” the mother said in an interview over dzMM.

(I think he needs to get punished because it means something. He is here and yet he seems to not care and not respect anyone.)

“Ang gusto pa i-settle. Ise-settle? Na parang yung mga Pilipino bayaran? Hindi ko matanggap ‘yun na parang ganun kaliit yung tingin nila sa ‘tin. Kailangan talaga panagutan nila ito,” she added.

(He wanted to settle. Why settle? It’s like Filipinos can be bought. I cannot accept how small they see us. He needs to bear the consequences.)

The Bureau of Immigration (BI), meanwhile, said that the families could file an immigration case against the Chinese man for deportation and blacklisting.

“Pwede silang mag-file ng immigration charge against sa Chinese national para ma-deport at ma-blacklist sa Pilipinas,” BI Spokesperson Dana Sandoval said in an interview over dzMM.

(They can file charges against the Chinese national so we can deport and blacklist him from the Philippines.)

“Hindi natin tino-tolerate itong mga action ng foreigners dito sa ating bansa. Ang visa ay hindi free pass para gawin n’ya lahat ng kalokohan n’ya dito,” she added.

(We do not tolerate the wrongdoing of foreigners in our country. The visa is not a free pass for him to commit mischief.)

The suspect is currently detained at the Pasay Police station. /cbb
