Motorists warned of heavy traffic in Manila on Labor Day, advised to take alternate routes

THE Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) will reroute traffic in parts of Manila on May 1, Labor Day.
The MDTEU warned motorists of heavy traffic in Morayta, Mendiola, Department of Labor and Employment office in Intramuros, Plaza Miranda, Liwasang Bonifacio and the US Embassy and provided alternate routes.
If coming from Legarda, turn right to Bustillos to point of destination.
If coming from P. Casal, turn left to C. Aguila to point of destination.
If on the eastbound lane of CM Recto, turn left or right to Rizal Avenue to point of destination.
If on the westbound lane of Kalaw and intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, turn left to M.H. Del Pilar to point of destination.
If intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, turn left to P. Burgos to point of destination.
The MDTEU said that the actual closing and opening of affected roads would be based on actual traffic condition. CATHERINE A. MODESTO
