2 boats capsize in Iloilo: 3 dead, 24 rescued — Red Cross

MANILA, Philippines — Three passengers drowned while 24 others were rescued after two boats heading to Guimaras Island capsized off the waters of Iloilo on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Red Cross said.
Gordon said rescue teams were already scouring the rough waters to look for the other missing passengers of the boats.
“Latest. 24 rescued 3 dead in iloilo-guimaras. 2 boats capsized & PCG, PRC with other SAR teams still scouring the water,” PRC Chairman and Senator Richard Gordon said in a tweet.

As of 12:15 p.m., the PRC reported that two motorized bancas from Iloilo to Guimaras capsized with 51 passengers on board.
PRC’s Iloilo chapter deployed its team and two ambulances to help in search and rescue operations. /jpv
