POPULARLY known as the Philippine Feng Shui Queen for promoting feng shui practice in the country and abroad, Marites Allen is the first Filipina to be awarded the “Master in Feng Shui” by the International Feng Shui Association in 2013.
Since 2004 when she met her mentor Lillian Too and got fascinated with Feng Shui, Marites Allen continuously promotes feng shui practice. Though already certified in various feng shui disciplines, Allen never stops learning about feng shui which has brought her to many parts of the world. Recently, she discovered how symbology and luck-enchancing practices were used in Sumerian and Egyptian cultures—centuries before the Chinese practiced feng shui. She has also participated in teaching conferences by Dalai lama XIV in Dharamsala, India.
She’s now being followed by audiences which include overseas Filipinos in Tokyo, the USA, UK, France, Egypt, Turkey, Jerusalem, Iceland, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, Kyrgztan, Kazahkstan, and Uzbekistan, among other places, where she has conducted talks on feng shui applications in various life aspects. Her recent 15th annual convention in Novotel, Araneta Center on November 24 was a big success.
In that convention, she shared how to create a wealth vase and vision board.
“It is very important that we create something for a new beginning. A wealth vase is actually a combination of auspicious symbols that you can put together in a vase and bring home before the Chinese New Year, so it’s good to have that before the year ends,” Allen shares.
Another must-have is the vision board to which she recounts, “When I started learning and doing feng shui in 2004, I also started my vision boards. Looking back now at the photos of people I wanted to meet along the way, I have met most of them. And those photos of material things, like a kitchen or a house, I have achieved them.”
Her wide following increases because of close to two decades of sharing her feng shui expertise through different platforms: as host of her former TV show, annual conventions, mall talks, self-authored books, radio and TV guestings, and other social media activities.
On November 2019, she launched her 2020 Horoscope Books, Feng Shui Almanac and Feng Shui Planner. 2020 Horoscope Books are the the personal horoscope books that provide helpful indications in many aspects of the life of each animal sign in the Chinese zodiac, including wealth, career, romance, and health for each month. It also has valuable suggestions to help prepare for the Chinese New Year and tips on what enhancers to place in specific sectors of the home and recommended fashion wear and accessories to attract positive energies throughout the year.
Meanwhile, Feng Shui Almanac is a must-have desktop reference to go through the Year of the Metal Rat. It is the fully illustrated Feng Shui Almanac packed with practical application tips and frequently used tables and charts, it also features auspicious dates and times for scheduling important events and tasks. It has a monthly guide to the shifting Flying Stars or the lucky and unlucky sectors of the home and office to guide the reader on which areas to enhance or cure to optimize good luck or keep negative energies at bay.
On the other hand, Feng Shui Planner is an indispensable guide designed to help the user succeed and prosper in the Year of the Metal Rat. She also ventured in retail by specializing in fashionable feng shui pieces with the launching of Frigga Charmed Life in 2012, her own unique fashion brand that is designed by a renowned London fashion team. Frigga has since developed a special line of auspicious lifestyle products for the home and office, which are sold in its own boutiques in Manila and Cebu and online through www.frigga.co.uk and www.frigga.com.ph. She continues to promote feng shui applications worldwide through her innovative and dynamic partnerships. These include communications and technology networks, such as ABS-CBN Publishing and Synergy Digital, a leading digital creative solutions company that helps her develop the Marites Allen Almanac now available on Appstore and Google Play.
In keeping with the digital shift, she has recently partnered with a consultancy team in realigning her physical shops into e-commerce platform to better reach more clients in remote Philippine cities and in other countries. For the same reason, she has also begun offering online consultations.
On the print media side, she has, for several years, written the annual feng shui planner for the multinational company Transnational Diversified Group (TDG) and recently for McDonalds.
