Court orders arrest of Batangas Rep. Leviste

Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News MANILA (UPDATE) — A Makati City court has issued a warrant of arrest against Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste over an alleged violation of the Public Services Act.
A document obtained by ABS-CBN News showed that the Makati RTC Branch 235 recommended a fixed bail of P72,000 for Leviste.
Leviste — who is also being hounded by the energy department for his unfinished solar energy projects — left the Philippines on August 2, days after the Ombudsman announced a plunder investigation into him and his mother, Sen. Loren Legarda.
