Inigo Pascual praises BINI Mikha for being a supportive friend for ‘Pagdating ng Panahon’ MV

Kapamilya singer-songwriter Inigo Pascual shared how grateful he is to BINI member Mikha Lim for agreeing to star in the music video for his latest single, “Pagdating ng Panahon,” despite the girl group’s busy schedule.

Inigo recalled asking Mikha to be part of the music video after returning to the Philippines from his Father and Son tour with his dad, actor Piolo Pascual.

“When I got back to the Philippines, I spoke to Mikha and I said na it will be perfect if she will be in this music video. We have been hanging out because we have been in the same circle of friends. She was kind enough to agree,” Inigo said.

“Sobrang busy ng BINI. Nakakatuwa kasi yung release ng song na ito ay sakto sa pagpunta nila ng Australia (for their tour). Medyo sakto siya sa storyline ng music video,” he added.

“Pagdating ng Panahon” is about patiently holding on to a love that may not yet be ready to return. The song captures the hope of waiting for someone to finally look back and realize that the love they have been searching for has been there all along.

In the music video, Inigo and Mikha portray two close friends who are forced to part ways when Mikha’s character leaves for another country, while Inigo’s character hopes to see her again and finally tell her how he feels.

According to Inigo, Mikha was one of their first choices to star in the music video, especially since they already shared a close friendship.

“She was the first choice when my dad decided to film this stuff in Australia. We also have the same circle of friends. She hangs out with us in Batangas and we have the same group of friends and the fact that how kind and generous she is in everything, I’m glad that she is nice enough to really do it,” he said.

Inigo also appreciated Mikha for giving up part of her rest day to work on the music video, knowing how packed BINI’s schedule has become.

“She’s one of the boys, one of the kindest and one of the genuine people I ever met. The moment I asked her if she could do this music video with me, no questions, she was so game. BINI is super busy. It’s hard to ask for a single day of work with them but the fact that she is willing to put in some hours for this music video, this goes to show how kind and caring she is as a friend,” he said.

Mikha, meanwhile, surprised Inigo by attending the early preview of the music video, where she also shared her experience working on her first-ever music video.

“It was flattering kasi he chose me. It was my first music video. It was great as my first music video because walang kaba factor except for the part na may nakita ako sa script doon  for VO pala. Akala ko iaacting siya na magiiyakan so ayon pala VO lang,” Mikha shared.

For Mikha, working with Inigo was comfortable and natural because of their friendship and the easy banter they already share: “It was so natural. I feel like kasi na we have a natural banter with each other. Mayroon kaming mga inside jokes na nagpapatawa lang kami.”

Mikha also recalled how Inigo simply messaged her and sent her the song before asking her to be part of the project.

“He just messaged me and he sent me a song. I told him na okay go lang and kunin mo yung rest day ko. Isang araw lang naman and he is one of my good friends,” she said.

With their friendship serving as the foundation of their on-screen dynamic, Mikha hopes viewers will also appreciate the chemistry they bring to the music video.

“Sana matuwa kayo sa tandem namin, our chemistry and things like that kasi I feel like the MV is really more like best friends na may hidden feelings ganoon.”

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Inigo also expressed his gratitude to Mikha, Piolo, and director Joyce Bernal for supporting the project and joining him during the music video’s early preview.

“I’m so happy that my dad and Mikha and direk Joyce is actually here as well. Grabe, I didn’t expect Mikha to be here. I actually asked my dad if he could come here because he directed my music video. And Mikha, I had no idea. So, I’m really, really grateful,” he expressed.

Inigo said Mikha’s decision to not only appear in his music video but also attend its launch meant a lot to him, especially given her demanding schedule.

“You know how busy they are. Sabi ko nga, sa music video ko pa lang, sabi ko isang karangalan na paunlakan niya ako ng time just to see the music video. But for her to even show up to my launch, it really means a lot. And just goes to show how great of a friend she is.”
