Khalil Ramos gifts ‘Honor Thy Mother’ co-star Sharon Cuneta memorabilia from her films

Khalil Ramos put together a collection of rare photographs and film memorabilia as a wrap gift for Sharon Cuneta as their series Honor Thy Mother neared its conclusion.

“As Honor Thy Mother was coming to an end, I started thinking about what to give Mama Sharon @reallysharoncuneta as a wrap gift,” the actor posted on social media.

Khalil said he sought advice from his girlfriend, Gabbi Garcia, while deciding what to give the Megastar.

“I remember asking Gabbi, ‘What do you give someone who pretty much has everything already?’ I had such a hard time figuring it out. But Gab told me let’s just give her something she would remember,” he recounted.

The actor then recalled seeing Sharon revisit memorable moments from her career during breaks on set.

“During our time on set, whenever the cameras weren’t rolling, I’d sometimes see Mama Sharon watching her old concert videos and looking through old photos as she prepares for her US tour. She told me it was her ‘pampalakas ng loob,'” he stated.

This inspired Khalil to reach out to Archivo 1984 for memorabilia that would make a meaningful gift.

“That’s when I remembered @archivo1984 , who has been collecting and preserving Philippine film and TV memorabilia for decades. I reached out to ask what they had of Sharon Cuneta, and thankfully, they had some really special pieces. Rare photographs, behind-the-scenes moments, some of which have never been seen before, and even original lobby cards from Bituing Walang Ningning and Madrasta,” he shared.

Looking through the collection also further deepened Khalil’s admiration for Sharon’s career and dedication to her craft.

“Going through those photographs myself, I couldn’t help but admire just how colorful her career has been. From the 2nd golden age of Philippine cinema to today, she still gives 101% in every scene. And as a younger actor, it’s such an inspiring reminder to always give my all, no matter how far I get in this industry. And to do it with heart, kindness and grace,” he stated.

Khalil ended his post with a heartfelt message of gratitude, sharing that their time working together had given him more than the opportunity to act alongside the Megastar.

“Thank you, Mama Sharon, for your kindness, generosity, and for being such an inspiration. I came into Honor Thy Mother getting to work with the one and only Megastar, but I walked away feeling like I had found another mom,” he remarked.
