Vice and Vic first sparked speculation about a possible collaboration after exchanging unexpected greetings during the closing spiels of their respective noontime shows. They later confirmed their first movie team-up, which will compete in the 52nd MMFF this Christmas.
During the film’s announcement, Vice admitted that working alongside Vic came with greater expectations, given their established reputations as box-office stars.
“May expectation sila pag Vice Ganda movie, may expectation sila pag Vic Sotto movie. So pag pinagsama mo ’yun, parang hindi namin sila pwedeng ma-fail.
Vic, meanwhile, said that one of the most exciting aspects of the film would be seeing how their distinct comedic styles work together on screen.
Paano mag-jive. Kakaiba,” the veteran actor said.
“Nandun yung magic eh. Pag pinagsama mo, pasasabugin talaga natin.”
