Singer-songwriter Angela Ken marked Sunday a significant milestone in her musical journey as she held her first solo concert at the New Frontier Theater (NFT), celebrating her growth as an artist alongside the fans who have supported her along the way.

The concert, “Panahon Na Natin,” served as a meaningful celebration of her journey in the music industry, bringing together supporters who have witnessed her evolution from a student singing at school events to an artist whose music has reached a wider audience.

In an interview, Angela expressed her overwhelming happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate this new chapter of her career with her supporters.

“Literal na panahon na natin. I am overwhelmed in the best way possible. I am so happy to celebrate this journey, this chapter, with every single one na andito sa NFT and even mga nasa labas, nasa bahay,” she said.

She also extended her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped bring the concert to life, emphasizing her gratitude for the people behind the production.

“I feel so grateful and I will always humbly thank everyone na bumuo ng concert na ‘to,” she said.

For Angela, the concert was more than a career milestone, it was the fulfillment of a dream she once considered impossible.

When asked if the event was a dream come true, the singer-songwriter reflected on her humble beginnings in Cavite, where she used to sing at school to earn additional grades.

“Yes po. Dati isang hamak lang po kasi ako na nasa Cavite na kumakanta sa school para magkaroon ng additional grades, at hindi ko po inakala na darating po ako sa punto ng buhay ko na may magmamahal sa music ko,” she said.

Looking back on how far she has come, Angela described the experience as a dream she never imagined would become reality.

“Kaya this is such a dream come true for me. This is an impossible dream for me before, but God is the God of impossible, so He made these things happen for a reason,” she said.

Beyond celebrating her achievements, Angela hoped that the concert would leave her audience with a deeper sense of connection and comfort.

When asked what she wanted her audience to take home after the show, she expressed her desire for fans to remember that, despite being an artist, she is also an ordinary person who experiences life just as they do.

“Gusto ko po ma-realize nila na hindi sila nag-iisa, na Angela Ken may be an artist, but also just a normal human being,” she said.

For Angela, the concert was intended to be more than a musical experience. She wanted it to feel like a warm embrace one that would remind everyone in attendance that they are not alone.

“And this concert, gusto ko po na maging yakap ‘to,” she added.
