REVIEW: vivo V80 Lite is a workhorse with an insane 10,000 mAh battery
vivo V80 Lite 5G. Arthur Fuentes, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA — The vivo V80 Lite 5G makes a bold claim right out of the box: it wants to eliminate low-battery anxiety once and for all.
Packing an enormous 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery into a sleek chassis under 9mm thin, this midrange handset is an endurance athlete wrapped in a sleek form factor.
Our review unit came in the emerald green colorway, which looked very elegant, for a device in this price range.
The phone packs an octacore MediaTek Dimensity 7300e (6 nm) chip, featuring the Mali-G610 GPU. Our review unit also came with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, although vivo is also throwing in 100GB of Google Drive storage free for six months.
Despite accommodating a power cell typically reserved for bulky power banks, the V80 Lite maintains remarkable ergonomics. Weighing roughly 220 grams, it feels solid without turning into an unwieldy brick in hand. There are flagship phones out there with much smaller batteries that weigh almost just as much.

Up front, you get a vibrant 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display featuring a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 2,000 nits. Ultra-slim bezels provide an immersive viewing experience, making video playback and outdoor legibility under direct sunlight exceptional for its class.
Under the hood, a solid Dimensity 5G chipset handles daily multitasking, social media feeds, and casual gaming smoothly. However, mobile gamers seeking maximum frame rates in heavy 3D titles will find performance sensible rather than groundbreaking.
Vivo also claims up to 30 hours of binge-watching and 30 hours of TikTok playback.
Gamers, however, may find the 6GB of memory limiting. I played Diablo Immortal on the phone, and it was just OK. Not bad, but not the best either.
Camera performance, meanwhile, is anchored by a capable 50 MP primary shooter and a 32 MP wide-angle selfie lens. Daylight photos produce crisp detail and pleasant color reproduction, while the selfie camera easily accommodates clear group shots. While omitting an ultrawide rear camera is noticeable, the primary lens covers everyday needs.

The standard vivo V80, with its dual 50 MP cameras, may be the better bet if you plan to shoot a lot of photos and videos.
The undisputed star of the vivo V80 Lite is endurance. Moderate users can stretch usage across three full days, while power users can cruise through two days of heavy GPS navigation and hotspot sharing.
I tested this as a Wifi hotspot and the phone barely blinked. At the end of an 8-hour duty doing remote work, I checked the phone and it still had more than 50 percent charge. Vivo says that if used solely as a hotspot, the phone’s battery would go down just 14 percent.
Vivo has even claimed a Guinness World Record for this phone for the longest product testing livestream at 32 hours and 37 minutes.
And if you have a second phone or device that needs charging, you can use the vivo V80 Lite as a power bank.
The vivo V80 Lite 5G prioritizes practical real-world utility over benchmark records. By pairing exceptional battery life and military-grade toughness with a brilliant display, it excels for people constantly on the move. It stands as a worry-free daily driver that leaves battery anxiety firmly in the past.
The vivo V80 Lite 5G sells for P24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version, while the 256 GB version retails for P27,999.
