Customers flocked to BlueMoon Philippines starting Saturday, wearing spooky costumes ranging from bloody figures and bizarre creatures to ghosts and the Grim Reaper.
One participant stood out in a contractor-style outfit resembling that of a Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) worker, in an apparent reference to the controversy surrounding alleged ghost flood control projects.
Aaros Cabrera, one of the owners of BlueMoon Philippines, said they had not anticipated customer’s choice of costume. Cabrera clarified that the event was purely for entertainment and had no political agenda.
He added that the coffee shop does not dictate or control the costumes chosen by its customers.
The best costume winner will receive P3,000, while the second-place winner will get P2,000. The third-place winner will take home a P500 gift certificate.
