Another port for thinking people…

Gian, inaming crush noon si Maki! | Gandang Gabi, Vice!

The tea didn’t stop with Gian Bernardino and Maki’s ‘kuwento’ about music and love life. In the latest episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice,” the Gen Z hitmakers saved the juciest bits of revelations for last, as they left fans ‘shookt’ and, ehemm, ‘kilig’ with the secrets they spilled in the “Deep Truth” segment where they challenged Vice Ganda and the Geng Gang to separate the “trot” from the “charot.”

Of all the things Maki could have divulged, we certainly didn’t expect this one. He dropped the statement, “Na-trauma ako sa santol.” According to the “Dilaw” and “Kahel Na Langit” singer, when he was a kid, he found some peeled santol fruit in his grandmother’s refrigerator and happily ate it, not knowing that his grandma and aunt had already gotten to them first.

The experience left him so traumatized that he hasn’t eaten santol since. Much to everyone’s surprise, the statement was legit, which Vice Ganda and the Geng Gang had correctly guessed.

But if Maki thought his santol story was surprising enough, Gian had a confession that even Maki probably didn’t see coming. “Crush ko dati si Maki,” the Cup of Joe vocalist declared, leaving everyone wondering whether he was being serious.

Analyzing the statement, the Geng Gang decided it was legit as they noted the closeness between the two, while Vice also went with “truth,” reasoning that she couldn’t really blame Gian, knowing Maki is pretty easy to develop a crush on.

And guess what? Gian’s confession was actually true. He and Maki were already friends when the crush happened, while Maki didn’t mind at all. He said he’d rather have people be honest about their feelings so he wouldn’t feel awkward around them.

And because Vice and the Geng Gang got their guesses right, Gian and Maki had no choice but to face the punishment.
