RK Bagatsing on building a lasting relationship with Jane Oineza: ‘Best friend namin ‘yung isa’t isa’

RK Bagatsing shares the secret to his lasting relationship with actress girlfriend, Jane Oineza. 

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the Honor Thy Mother actor opened up about how he and Jane have grown individually while maintaining a playful side whenever they are together. 

“Individually we’ve grown older and wiser pero together we’re kids at heart eh,” he said. 

RK explained that they make time for activities they might have missed out on when they were younger, while “healing” the “inner child” in them.  

“Hini-heal namin ‘yung mga puso namin nung bata kami. We play video games, we eat anywhere we want, we stay up hanggang morning watching you know series, we buy things that we don’t really need but it’s fun kasi parang nung bata [kami] parang gusto namin ‘yun eh,” he stated.  

For RK, these simple experiences have helped them build a relationship where they can enjoy each other’s company without having to take everything too seriously. 

“Best friend namin ‘yung isa’t isa,” RK proudly exclaimed.  

The actor also acknowledged that jealousy is something they both experience in their relationship. He shared that when he gets jealous, he tends to become quiet and waits for Jane to notice that something is bothering him. Jane, on the other hand, also initially keeps to herself but eventually opens up about what she feels. 

Like other couples, they also have their share of disagreements. However, RK emphasized that knowing when to move forward after an argument is just as important as addressing the issue. 

Asked about how they handle disagreements, RK said: “Normal na away lang. We go through that. But I think, ngayon, ‘yung reset ang pinaka-importante. How long do you hold it in? Kasi minsan, it’s silly for you na pahabain pa.” 

RK and Jane made their relationship public in 2021. Aside from sharing their personal lives, the couple has also worked together on projects, including the films Us Again and Love Child. 

RK is part of the cast of Honor Thy Mother, which stars Sharon Cuneta, Barbie Forteza, Khalil Ramos, John Estrada, and more. The series is now streaming on Prime Video.
