Weeks ago, Hollywood star Kim Kardashian shared a few snaps of her recent trip to the Philippines to celebrate her birthday. The day after that, she flew back to the US and did a virtual junket for her upcoming series on Hulu, “All’s Fair” season 2.

ABS-CBN News got an exclusive slot in the junket and just when we were about to start the interview and after my introduction, Kardashian quickly jumped in and shared her recent trip to the Philippines.

“I just got back [yesterday], from Manila!” she said.

Asked what she did here, she replied, “I was celebrating my birthday. It was my dream of life on my bucket list to go there, so I made it happen to see what the Philippines was like.”

“I found out it was absolutely stunning. I’ve never seen a sunset so colorful with the water and the white sand. I went scuba diving for the first time. It was so beautiful!”

She added, “I saw Nemo… Nemo in the ocean.”

Her co-star in the series, Sarah Paulson, curiously asked “Like that type of fish?”

“Nemo, not the real… and his whole family. I was so excited. Turtles everywhere. It was beautiful,” Kardashian replied.

That broke the ice in the interview and we rolled on to talk about the second season offering of their series. Coming into this new season, how involved are they in developing the story or their characters?

“I think sometimes different episodes can come out of different ideas,” Kardashian said. “There’s a whole episode on Elizabeth Taylor and this scorpion ball that she attended from Grace Kelly. And the story came about because my mom and I were telling Ryan (Murphy, the creator of the series) that she won at auction a long cape of Elizabeth Taylor’s with these scorpions on it.”

“And so he decided to write a whole episode around it. And so I think we can kind of drive episodes depending on fun stories and just spending time together and talking about life and seeing how that comes into an episode,” she continued.

But one thing is for sure. “Season one there were parts that it was a little bit more serious. And I think we realized that the audience loved the kitschiness, the camp of it all. So we really leaned in this season and kind of changed our direction to be as crazy and camp as possible,” said Kardashian.

As for their characters, Niecy Nash-Betts was surprised at how their characters got from one point to another. “Expect the unexpected. Because just when you think you may have even your own character figured out, you get a script and it’s like, say what now? And it’s like, that’s what I’m doing? Okay.”

All in all, “All’s Fair” promises to offer more camp and exciting twists and turns in Season 2, that will be available for streaming on Disney+ beginning November 4.

“I hope you guys all tune in. I love you guys. It was such a joy to be able to go to the Philippines this year. So now I want you guys to all come with me and watch Season 2 of All’s Fair. Yay!” said Kardashian.
