’80s colleagues join Randy Santiago’s upcoming anniversary concert

MANILA — Veteran singer Randy Santiago, who is gearing up for his 40th anniversary concert billed “Behind The Shades,” will be joined by his fellow ’80s artists Gino Padilla and Juan Miguel Salvador as his guest artists.

On social media, Santiago shared a reel showing the rehearsal with his batchmates, along with LA Santos and The Private Eyes Band.

“So much fun rehearsing with my batchmates Gino Padilla from ‘Triple Treat’ days and Juan Miguel Salvador from our Rage Band and Cicada days. We got together for the movie theme song, ‘You’ve Got the Power’ from the movie ‘Ninja Kids.’ The song was composed by dear friends Tats Faustino and Gary Valenciano. Catch us sing it again after 40 years at my 40th anniversary party,” part of Santiago’s caption read.

“Behind The Shades” will be held on November 13  at The Elements at Centris in Quezon City.

Directed by his son, Raiko Santiago, the concerts will also feature the singer’s friends Lloyd Umali,  Luke Mejares, and Dingdong Avanzado as guest artists.

Santiago is known for his signature dark shades, charismatic stage presence and timeless OPM hits. He is behind chart-topping songs such as “Hindi Magbabago,” “Babaero,” “Siguro,” “Naglalambing,” and “Pakita Mo,” and other OPM classics.
